Life Healing Center - A Place of Personal Tranformation

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your program located?

The Life Healing Center is housed on a serene and secure campus in the peaceful Sangre de Cristo foothills above Santa Fe, New Mexico.

What types of problems/disorders do you treat?

The Life Healing Center has been providing comprehensive, in-depth residential care for trauma integration since 1993. We also provide services for chemical dependence, eating disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, and we offer gender-specific treatment for sex, love and relationship addiction.

How much will treatment cost?

Treatment at Life Healing Center is a highly personal experience, with associated costs depending upon factors such as the number of days required to complete the treatment process. The total cost will vary based on the level of acuity, individual needs, and ancillary, off-site and separately billed services.

Our intake advisors will be happy to work with you to develop an accurate picture of what your treatment will cost.

Does your program accept insurance or provide financing options?

Yes, we do. Our Admissions Care Coordinator and business office personnel can help you obtain information from your insurance provider to determine if any portion of your treatment at Life Healing Center would be covered by your policy. Our advisors will also be happy to work with you to explore alternative private financing options.

Are your staff members licensed?

Yes. The talented and dedicated members of the care team at Life Healing Center are licensed mental health and addiction treatment professionals who have been selected for their ability to work with a wide range of clients, families, and problems. Our staff includes masters-level therapists and certified alcoholism/drug abuse counselors, all of whom have been licensed by the State of New Mexico.

Is your program accredited?

Yes. We are proud to have earned full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Does The Life Healing Center support AA/NA and similar 12-Step programs?

Yes, we do. Life Healing Center embraces a two phase recovery model. A solid recovery program needs to address both the addictive process and the underlying emotional pain. People who are in recovery from and addiction are required to attend 12-Step meetings regularly throughout their stay. In-house 12-Step model support groups are provided several times throughout the week.

How long will I need to be in treatment?

Program length varies depending upon your unique needs, but a minimum of 35 days is requested. Our step-down programming capability allows patients to remain in treatment for significant periods of time if clinically appropriate.

What types of therapies and programs do you use?

In addition to psychiatric consultations and intensive individual therapy, Life Healing Center offers over 30 hours of weekly group sessions.

Among the groups offered are Core Process Groups; Addictive Disorders; Eating Disorders; Sexual, Love, and Relationship Addiction; Co-Dependency; Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills; Healthy Relationships; Loving your Children; Alchemy of Recovery; Living in Body Balance; Yoga; Women's Issues; Men's Issues; Resiliency; Art Therapy; and other specialty groups. Will my family be involved in my treatment?

In order to help family members understand the challenges that the client is facing (and to help them identify and address the issues that are impacting the family as a whole), we offer a three-day Family Program for clients and their loved ones.

Do you offer an aftercare program?

We certainly do. All Life Healing Center graduates leave with a specific and comprehensive aftercare plan for continuing therapy and support created with active input from all related outside therapists and supportive loved ones.
