Diann Taylor, LMHC
Core Group Therapist
Diann is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New Mexico. She had a previous career as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Diann earned her B.A. in Psychology with concentration in Social Work from The University of Texas and M.A. in Counseling from Amberton University. She is also a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher.
Diann’s ten plus years of post-graduate experience in the mental health field includes work on inpatient psychiatric units, partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs, and as Team Leader of an Assertive Community Treatment Team. Diann has particular experience with geropsychiatric clients, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and adults with a combination of mood disorders, dissociative disorders, trauma-related concerns and dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance abuse.
Diann’s intervention approach is compassionate validation of the client experience while supplementing their existing strengths with additional insights and coping skills. Her passion is creating connection with people who have been isolated by their mental illness and facilitating supportive connections between clients, which is why she is so excited about the dynamics of group work.
