Why Choose Sierra Tucson?

Since 1983, Sierra Tucson has been a world-class leader in residential treatment. Sierra Tucson’s staff is made up of highly experienced professionals who have dedicated their lives to helping others. In the ever-evolving field of behavioral and mental health, Sierra Tucson is a place of consistency and stability. Below are some of the factors that separate Sierra Tucson from other treatment centers.

The Sierra Tucson Model

In the decades since Sierra Tucson opened, we’ve had tremendous opportunities to document the most effective treatment methods and hone our programs accordingly. The result of this effort is The Sierra Tucson Model®, an innovative and integrated approach to treatment that emphasizes strong diagnostics, evidence-based techniques, and holistic resident-focused care.

High Referral Rate

A majority of those who come to Sierra Tucson are referred to us by other professionals or by members of our alumni community. In other words, those who know us best – on both a personal and a professional level – are proud to recommend us to their friends, family members, and clients. If you are considering treatment at Sierra Tucson, we are happy to put you in touch with one of our alumni, who can answer your questions and give you a first-person account.

Strong Medical Component

Our unparalleled treatment is provided by a team of experienced psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, naturopathic physicians, pain management physicians, and nurses. Unlike programs that contract with local physicians to provide limited, on-site consultations, Sierra Tucson features a team of full-time, on-staff doctors whose sole focus is to provide world-class treatment to residents.

Resident-Directed Treatment

When you enter treatment at Sierra Tucson, you will never be “just another patient.” The moment you walk through our front doors, you become an active participant in your own treatment. You will collaborate with your treatment team of experienced masters- and PhD-level clinicians and other providers to develop and complete a personalized plan that has been customized to meet your unique needs. You will make important contributions to the direction and progress of your treatment.

Continuing Care with Connect365

Sierra Tucson’s Connect365 is a continuing care service that helps to bridge the gap between residential treatment and life in recovery. Participants of Connect365 receive a full year of support and resources at no additional cost. This adds to the overall treatment experience and promotes long-term recovery. Our goal is to help residents continue and expand the progress they made while at Sierra Tucson. Participants receive a personal Recovery Coach; have easy access to the interactive app via any mobile device; and choose their support team for additional accountability. Learn more about how Connect365 contributes to an improved quality of life for those who choose to engage in the service.

Extensive Family Support

Our Family Program is an essential component of The Sierra Tucson Model. Because family members and significant others are considerably affected by addiction and mental health disorders, their involvement is critical to the recovery process. Family Week is often a life-changing time when relationships can begin to mend from confusion, hurt, and misunderstandings.

Sierra Tucson opened my eyes and my heart to the possibilities of a happy and healthy life of recovery and renewal. I was able to rekindle my spirituality and resolve deeply held issues of my disease. The staff and community come together as one in a cohesive and structured program that heals the body, mind, and soul. I am continuing to work a program based on the Sierra Tucson Model®.
