Sepi Majd, LMHC
Sepi moved to New Mexico 12 years ago from Washington, D.C., and is a primary therapist at Life Healing Center. She has a BFA from George Washington University – Corcoran School of Art and Design, with a concentration in fine art and photography. Following graduation, Sepi worked as a project manager and in-house artist for an ad agency in Washington, D.C., for five years. She also worked part-time and volunteered at Inner City Youth Works and Latin Teen Parents, using art and photography lessons to work with at-risk adolescents and youth.
She went on to study psychology and Jungian psychology, earning her master’s degree in counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe. She taught multicultural sensitivity and ethics at Southwestern College and worked as a clinical supervisor and crisis counselor in a large regional hospital emergency room, as well as with refugees and sex-trafficking victims.
Sepi works with adolescents, teens, and adults who have histories of trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) into her care to address the needs of her diverse clients, using a person-centered approach to therapy. In her spare time, Sepi continues to work on her own art. She has had several gallery showings in Washington, D.C., New York, and Santa Fe.
