René Tricou, LMHC
René’s undergraduate training is in psychology and ethnic studies from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. From there, she moved to Eugene, Oregon, to work with individuals who have a history of homelessness and co-occurring disorders at ShelterCare. Afterward, René moved to Santa Fe to receive her master’s in counseling from Southwestern College.
René invites her clients to engage in new ways to accept themselves exactly as they are, where they are, and to recognize that “it’s OK to not be OK,” honoring themselves in each moment. Through a holistic approach, René invites each client to learn about their unique strengths, to recognize the gifts they encompass that allow them to continue moving forward in this world, and to pinpoint patterns that may no longer serve them.
