Catherine “Cat” Hyde
Catherine, fondly known as “Cat,” is a social worker who has spent more than ten years in positions dealing with behavioral health and chemical dependency. She has specialized training in substance abuse treatment and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) utilizing a strengths-based approach in guiding others to identify motivation for change. Prior to becoming a social worker, Cat was a paramedic and taught at the local community college.
On weekends she leads a popular group at Life Healing Center called Cultivating Joy where clients engage in activities that evoke child-like joy, laughter and simple fun.
An avid outdoors adventurer, Cat believes deeply in the healing power of nature. She also gardens and dabbles in the visual arts while studying for her master’s degree in clinical social work.
