The total cost of care is based on each client's length of stay, which depends upon the client's program placement and progress in treatment.
The daily rate for clients in Serenity or Core Program includes room, board, group therapy, individual therapy, two sessions of EMDR or Somatic Therapies, and initial assessment. Additional charges will be incurred for further EMDR, Somatic Therapies, laboratory testing, urinalysis, psychiatric evaluations, physician visits or consultations, psychological testing, acupuncture, massage, medication, family therapy, transitional living housing rental*, and other ancillary services.
The total cost of a treatment experience at Life Healing Center ~ Santa Fe depends on the number of days required to complete the treatment plan. Your total cost will vary, based on your level of acuity, individual needs, ancillary, off-site, and separately billed services. Financing is available upon approval of the Business Office. Private-pay clients are eligible to receive a 5% cash discount for payment prior to admission or a 3% discount for payment upon admission.
Separately billed services not included in the estimate of ancillary charges: Additional EMDR or Somatic Therapy, medication, laboratory testing, psychological testing, acupuncture, massage therapy, equine assisted psychotherapy, career counseling, and off-site services such as emergency room, urgent care, dental and chiropractic visits. Some of these services are paid for directly to the third party provider when the service is rendered.
Pharmacy services at Life Healing Center are made available by an outside pharmacy vendor, known as Albertsons. To ensure a smooth transition into the treatment process, it is imperative the "Authorization for Payment of Medications" (included in the financial agreement) is completed and forwarded to Life Healing Center prior to admission. This form documents the insurance information specific to pharmacy. We also require a copy of the insurance card to supply to the vendor. If no insurance is available, we ask you to provide a credit card the medications can be charged to throughout the course of care at Life Healing Center. This credit card authorization will terminate upon discharge. Life Healing Center has developed this arrangement with Albertsons to ensure swift and accurate delivery of medications to our clients. Failure to impart the required insurance information or credit card can delay the delivery of the needed medication, and impair the client's continuity of care.
Insurance policies and benefits vary greatly. The Business Office will help you obtain information on your policy. This data provides a list of benefits allowable according to the definitions of the contract as provided by your insurance carrier to you. Your employer and insurance agent can also be helpful in answering questions about your available benefits.
The insurance carrier or managed care company may require concurrent reviews of your medical record during your stay at Life Healing Center ~ Santa Fe. If they determine that medical necessity is present, the certification of days will be given for a few days at a time – one to three is not uncommon. Rarely does a plan approve an entire stay upon admission. Life Healing Center will work with your insurance company to provide the necessary information required in order to review for medical necessity. However, Life Healing Center has no control over the outcome of these reviews. More importantly, these reviews do not guarantee payment by your insurance carrier upon final billing.

They can suggest multiple loan options over the telephone or on-line, and specialize in customized financing plans for all types of treatment facilities. Please be aware Life Healing Center cannot hold your insurance company responsible for payment of fees. An insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurance company. Life Healing Center contracts with you upon admission when you sign the "Conditions of Admission", which obligates you to pay for services rendered. If your insurance does not cover all of your treatment costs, or if you are self-paying for care, please bring the agreed-upon payment with you.
Incomplete or delayed financial arrangements can postpone actual admission. To avoid any delay in entry to Life Healing Center, our review of insurance and or payment arrangements is necessary. In-house financing options are available upon approval from the Business Office. A Life Healing Center financial staff member will work with you to make suitable arrangements to meet your financial obligations.
Before coming to Life Healing Center, please obtain a copy of your policy booklet that contains all of your health coverage information. Bring this document with you, as it is extremely helpful in resolving problems that may arise with your insurance. Please also bring your insurance identification card, prescription drug benefit card (if different), a claim form, and your driver's license.
