Life Healing Center - A Place of Personal Tranformation

ENTERING TREATMENT AT LIFE HEALING CENTER

A Life Healing Center Care Coordinator will conduct an in-depth phone assessment with each patient prior to admission. Upon receiving clinical and financial approval, an admission date will be set and patients will be given specific information about what to bring, travel to Santa Fe, etc.

All patients entering treatment at Life Healing Center begin with the Serenity level of care.

The Serenity level of care has been designed to help patients receive increased support in their recovery before engaging fully in the work of trauma resolution. The Serenity level of care functions in two ways:

  • Stabilization – The increased structure and decreased stimulation of this phase allows the client to get oriented to the treatment process
  • Preparation – A major focus of this phase is skill-building which has been designed to assist the client in increasing emotional tolerance and decreasing defensive responses, better preparing the client for trauma recovery work

THE SERENITY LEVEL OF CARE COMPONENTS INCLUDE:

  • The focus of entry into treatment through the Serenity level of care is comprehensive assessment and evaluation to build effective treatment planning
  • Two individual sessions per week with the patient’s Primary Therapist
  • Two Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups weekly
  • Trust Group and Check-in Group occurs weekly with Counselor Aide staff for additional support
